Original Design
Jaroff Studio offers the opportunity to commission original work by artist Joseph Jaroff. We collaborate with the property owner, architect and others to design a statement piece that is the perfect realization of the client’s vision. Once the client approves the initial design, we can generate the specifications for the project materials and detailed plans for the fabricators and contractors who will build it.
Design Consulting for Projects Already Underway
Along with creating our own designs, we will step in during later stages of a project to refine and troubleshoot designs created by others so that installation can go smoothly.
Project Management
We can lead the design, contractor, subcontractor and client rep teams, developing the project timeline and seamlessly orchestrating all aspects of the job from beginning to end.
Feasibility Studies
We can evaluate whether the metal and glass specifications for a project will work for the specific design, without compromising its future performance or being too costly to install.
Material Sourcing & Testing
We can specify the right materials for a project based on clients’ tastes and what they want to achieve. We are always looking to build on our knowledge of the uses, abilities and properties of glass and metal. We also test what new materials and finishes can do – evaluating abrasion, load, seismic action, ultra-violet light, delaminating premature aging, salt and chemical reactions, solar energy production, protection from heat and sound, and other properties.
Budgeting, Estimating, & Value Engineering Services
Our value engineering services provide line-by-line costs as well as alternatives, allowing clients options to save money and still achieve the look that they want. We can also provide cost-benefit analyses or sustainable building options.
Shop Drawings & Detailing
We establish program requirements and define all materials from the onset of a project to avoid costly technical problems with assembly, structure and fabrication that could occur down the road.
Production Samples & 3D Modeling
We can generate 3D CAD Virtual Models or 3D printed models to help the client visualize the final project. Full-scale mock-ups can be provided for discovery testing and design concepts.
Fabrication Services
Our fully-equipped shop provides custom architectural metal and glass for clients worldwide. Fabrication specialties include laser-cutting, water-jet cutting, bending, stretch forming and other services.
Installation Services
We can provide on-site installation by a team of project managers, craftsmen and crew to ensure that everything comes together perfectly. We coordinate with other contractors on-site and with owner’s reps to handle all materials with great care, protecting delicate finishes and edges to ensure the finished product is flawless. While we are based in New York, crews can be coordinated locally or nationally.
